Fusion takes a proactive approach to new product development. We question assumptions and drive innovation. We often provide answers to “impossible” design challenges by changing the question, or through other “out of the box” creative approaches. Cost, function, aesthetics, manufacturability, and marketing are all key components to a successful industrial product. The role of Fusion is to generate a new product that meets these often conflicting goals while carefully balancing the resulting compromises in order to deliver the best possible product. Additionally, we provide continuous engineering support by improving on every aspect of the product throughout its lifecycle

Fusion believes there is always a better solution. Because we are not encumbered by our client's internal challenges or existing conventions we can take a more inventive approach to product development. We think in terms of faster, simpler, and more affordable. We question assumptions and uncover possibility to provide answers to seemingly impossible design challenges through out-of-the box creative approaches.

Product Enhancement

Fusion has undertaken a multitude of industrial product enhancement challenges, from medical equipment to packaging machines. Our goal is always to increase the performance and profitability of an already successful product and maximize the return on the investment for the client. We know that although R&D resources continue to shrink, industry consumers continue to demand the most innovative products and expect to have the latest technology faster and at a lower cost. Many industrial product manufacturers routinely apply the cost reduction approaches that focus mainly on reducing the cost of components in a product. But by re-evaluating the fundamentals of a product's specification, technology and manufacture, and by taking a system level approach to its design, Fusion can deliver dramatic product performance improvements with little or no increase in manufacturing costs.
