    Fusion was at the Universal Robots booth at FABTECH last week at McCormick Place in Chicago. We showcased a pre-configured machine tending solution with a UR16e and Schunk Grippers. We spoke about how utilizing the FC-Series equipment for efficient, reliable, uninterrupted machine tending throughout the day and into the off-shifts (lights-out) enhances the ROI on your capital equipment. Also how the cobotic system allows you to automate safely without tying up money and valuable floorspace that is required by conventional robotic machine tending solutions.     Robots in Cinema & Their Influence on Technological Advances

    I recently went to Disney World with my family and we were able to check out the new Star Wars Galaxy Edge exhibit. While I’m not a huge Star Wars fan, I can understand why fans are so anxious to see it. From creating your own Droids and Lightsabers to rides, shops and the actual set, it is impressive. They even had a robot repair station (pictured.)

    Did you know that 10,000 baby boomers reach retirement age every day? The Bureau of Labor Statistics, Manufacturing Institute, Deloitte, predicts 2.4 million open jobs between 2018-2028. It would seem like manufacturing is the way to go if you want a job fast out of high school or college. However, the industry is quickly discovering they can't fill these jobs.
